The Lincoln Center Trombones are made up of members of the Met Opera, NY Philharmonic, NYC Ballet and Broadway. These world class musicians are helping spread holiday cheer by using their talents to benefit the youngsters of The Salvation Army Phil Ramone Orchestra for Children.

Phil Ramone was a 14 time Grammy Award winning producer. His vision was to introduce the children of Harlem to the value of being part of something important, an orchestra. He partnered with The Salvation Army in 2011 to provide musical training opportunities and mentorship for youth in Harlem who desperately need this outlet. Since his passing in 2013, the program has struggled financially and is facing the serious possibility of shutting down.

Why is this important to Ovation Concerts?

We are doubling down on this investment, not only because it enriches the livesof the children of Harlem, but it will pay great dividends in the future when these young musicians blossom into emerging artists looking to make their mark in the classical world. Our future starts now.
